Maintenance Tips - Bee Balm

Bee Balm in all its glory, is a pollinator's dream. However, it loses its shine as the blooms become spent. This is the time Bee Balm can be deadheaded to lengthen the blooming season and prevent reseeding.

Follow the stem with the spent flower to the point where new sprouts are beginning to grow. Make your cut just above the new growth. Finally, prune to shape! This will create a mound and will lengthen your blooming season!
